Background:

From the time I could work, I've had jobs cutting grass, packing groceries, delivering newspapers, washing cars running errands, playing music and so on.  As a result, I'm a very flexible individual, independent, self-reliant, and an over-achiever. So far, my career has taken me from consumer products, to the industrial side, then on to the tech side and into building products and services where in retrospect or in the broader arena it has been about selling, marketing, technology, management, solutions, and innovation and at time all-in-one. 

I have traveled the United States and much of the world,  and was fortunate  to meet some of the most interesting and imaginative people on earth.  I spent my junior years in Richmond, VA (-via Cuba- Miami and on to Richmond).  My somewhat nomadic life took me from Cuba, Venezuela, Rich, VA US,  to Vietnam, and then back to Virginia and then on to New York, around the world and back to VA.

I am a manager with local, national and international work experience. 
I had the opportunity to be an early founder introducing cosmetics into grocery stores...a norm today, but not long ago it was about groceries not soft-goods or cosmetics. In the mid 1980s with partner introduced several building construction systems. Later on in the mid 1990s introduced MS-Windows based software to the US and the rest of the world.  I always llooked at old  to discovered new and improved.

I believe that today's opportunities are tomorrows winners and triumphs.  While I certainly have an aptitude for technology, products, services and stuff what I have is a passion for people.

I think of myself as understanding the people; their needs; and their desired outcomes. Bryan Clarke, President of AMF once said your art is your ability to bring it down to the lowest denominator for people to understand it and go with you... It is virtual reality for me and I have often thought about Bryans' remarks.

As Sales Manager at AMF Apparel Systems, with input I successfully re-launched the old 1950s mechanical 59-83 Pick-Stitch sewing machine as the new and hip electronic Deco-Stitch 2000... a programmable state-of-the-art pick-stitcher used for manufacturing men's suits and why stop there...lets' sew Japanese kimonos. Several contributions included developing the system, naming, pricing, promoting , and training sales distribution. And at the same time, other opportunities and challenges were always on the plate.  I was responsible for the broader arenas of marketing, technology management i.e. CAD/CAM, and innovation.  

In the 1990s  MS-Windows was nothing more than a faint whisper to a few; the internet was a telephone line to a bulleting board; and MSWindows was voodoo to Apple. Polygon Software and Technology was a simple idea of making open technology available to everyone in the apparel industry. With the great help of many dedicated people I sold the simple idea into a reality. Then we looked into body scanning, pattern scanning, black boxes...and all of these words  were requiring fulfillment, and we did...

2001 was awarded the SBA Vietnam Veteran of the Year. The same year was awarded for  contributions in 2000 as a Consultant in Israel to Denisra International in a construction project in Afula. I have relished the many opportunities and look forward to the new ones yet to surface.
